Group Training Sessions

Booking Small Group Training Sessions (aka SGTs) sessions can offer you the results and benefits of Private Training but at a fraction of the cost! It is vital that you participate in SGTs often so that you can truly understand what it means to be part of a GK Union. Plus, since you are all in the same boat and on the same journey, you are guaranteed to have fun!

Key Benefits of SGT Sessions:

  • More Economical – SGTs can fit into your budget a bit easier, while still giving you the same personal attention you need to reach your goals.

  • Camaraderie – Teamwork makes the dream work! This is the best part of SGTs because you get to make friends, and work towards your fitness goals alongside others who are doing the same.

  • Motivation and Healthy Competition– Training alongside someone can help raise the level of your performance, and offer friendly competition to keep you on your toes. This will teach you the art of “Fighting for your spot!”

Key Disadvantages of SGT Sessions:

  • Off the pitch work needed! – SGTs do not offer a lot of room for (dedicated) private coaching. While there are only a handful of participants in each session (no more than 4-6 at a time), each trainee is required to put in additional work off the pitch in order to improve. Going over training highlights, doing speed and agility training or ladder/core exercises are but a few examples of what can be done off the pitch.

  • It can be easy to get distracted! - It can be very easy for trainees to lose focus and get lost in random conversations with others during the session.
